Job Requirements
- Class A CDL license or class B CDL license with air brake endorsement
- valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment
- ability to pass motor vehicle record screen in accordance with company requirements
- ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
- ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
- must be 21 years of age
- ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations
Job Qualifications
- Valid class A or B CDL license with air brake endorsement
- valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one
- ability to pass motor vehicle record screen
- ability to obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law
- ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
- minimum age of 21 years
- knowledge of DOT and CDL regulations
- experience driving semi-truck/trailer preferred
- experience in in-home delivery or retail customer service preferred
- experience operating forklifts or Moffett equipment preferred
Job Duties
- Provides SMART customer service through execution of Lowe’s customer service policies
- seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, or loading merchandise
- listens and responds knowledgeably to customer and employee questions by walking them through projects
- demonstrates sincere appreciation to customers
- communicates information about stock, special orders, features, benefits, applications, and warranties
- contacts customers regarding delivery or coordinates with drivers
- plans delivery activities, prints loading tickets, and delivers merchandise on schedule
- pulls merchandise, builds and bands delivery loads, and loads trucks within payload capacity
- inspects condition of products before loading or assisting customers
- matches items on invoices with loaded quantities
- ensures loads are safe, secure, and comply with DOT regulations
- updates delivery and route status using tracking systems
- unloads, installs, and tests appliances upon delivery
- verifies vehicle inspections and reports maintenance needs
- completes DOT reporting to maintain certification and compliance
- detects signs of theft or security risks and reports to management
- ensures compliance with housekeeping standards and maintains cleanliness
- maintains a safe and secure work environment with daily safety reviews
- adheres to all job-related safety requirements including the use of safety devices
- operates store equipment as needed
- performs other duties as assigned
