Job Requirements
- Class A CDL license in locations with multi unit CMV or Class B CDL license in locations with single unit CMV
- Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment
- Ability to pass MVR screen in accordance with company requirements
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration if required by law
- Ability to read write and perform basic arithmetic
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Compliance with DOT and CDL regulations
Job Qualifications
- Class A CDL License or Class B CDL license with air brake endorsement
- Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain upon employment
- Ability to pass MVR screen according to company requirements
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
- Ability to read write and perform basic arithmetic
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations
- Experience driving semi-truck or trailer preferred
- Experience in in-home delivery or retail customer service preferred
- Experience operating forklift or Moffett equipment preferred
Job Duties
- Provides SMART customer service through daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies procedures and programs
- Seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating demonstrating selecting carrying or loading merchandise
- Listens to and responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions by walking them through projects
- Demonstrates sincere appreciation to customers
- Communicates information regarding stock special order merchandise feature benefits application and warranty information
- Contacts customers regarding delivery or coordinates with truck driver to call customer
- Plans delivery activities prints loading tickets and delivers merchandise on schedule
- Pulls merchandise builds and bands delivery loads and loads trucks within payload according to delivery order
- Inspects condition of products before loading or assisting customers
- Matches items on invoice with quantities loaded by verifying descriptions items and model numbers
- Ensures loads are safe secure and within DOT regulations
- Updates delivery and route status on system for tracking purposes
- Unloads installs and tests appliances upon delivery
- Verifies daily vehicle inspections and ensures cleanliness maintenance and repairs for delivery vehicles and equipment
- Completes DOT reporting to maintain certification and CDL compliance
- Detects signs of shoplifting theft and communicates to management
- Ensures compliance with housekeeping standards and programs to maintain cleanliness and organization
- Maintains a safe and secure work environment including daily safety reviews noting hazards and keeping aisles clear
- Adheres to all safety requirements relevant to job duties including use of safety devices
- Operates store equipment as needed depending on role and department
- Performs other duties as assigned
