This full-time position focuses primarily on delivering outstanding customer service by satisfying each customer's needs and exceeding their expectations. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of product knowledge, food preparation skills, sales ability, and customer relationship management. Associates will work collaboratively with team members to ensure shoppers enjoy a positive experience, reflecting the company’s core values. Responsibilities include preparing, processing, packaging, and stocking fresh food products in alignment with established quality standards. Associates also engage directly with customers, assist in product selection, respond promptly to inquiries, and resolve concerns by escalating issues when necessary. Additionally, the position involves preparing bakery items such as bread, rolls, muffins, pies, cakes, and cookies, following recipes and quality guidelines. Associates will also perform meat preparation duties including baking, frying, roasting, and portioning to meet customer and store standards. Accurate food packaging with pricing, dating, and labeling is essential, along with the proper use of equipment for food prep and portion control. Maintaining fresh food merchandising displays, processing markdowns and close-dated items, and unloading truck deliveries are vital functions of the role.

Associates will contribute to store cleanliness by adhering to sanitation standards and regularly cleaning work areas, including prep rooms, counters, coolers, and floors. The ability to adapt to shifts in workflow, balance multiple tasks efficiently, and assist team members during busy periods is valued. The role demands punctuality, reliability, attention to safety protocols, and the flexibility to comply with company standards and policies. Training is provided on customer service, food safety, product knowledge, and other required areas to ensure all associates are well-prepared for their duties.

Experience or education equivalent to a high school diploma or GED is preferred, alongside basic math and English skills. Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting up to 30 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds), and working in variable temperature environments. The ability to follow instructions, solve problems, and work as part of a team is essential.
