Job Requirements
- Associate must be at least 18 years of age
- Willingness to participate in and complete required training
- Ability to stand, walk, handle, reach, talk, hear, and perform physically demanding tasks regularly
- Capability to lift and move up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Maintain professional appearance and comply with company grooming standards
- Reliable and punctual attendance with at least two hours advance notice for absences or lateness
- Adherence to company policies, food safety, and sanitation standards
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and shift priorities as needed
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or one to three months related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple English instructions and correspondence
- Ability to write simple English correspondence
- Effective verbal communication skills in English for customer interaction
- Basic math skills including addition and subtraction and using units of money and weight
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and handle routine problems involving concrete variables
- Completion of company-required training such as food sanitation, customer service, safety, and product knowledge
Job Duties
- Take excellent care of customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding expectations
- Prepare, process, package, and stock products according to Fresh Foods Standards
- Provide exceptional customer service with courteous, friendly, and helpful interactions
- Unload stock and handle salvage products per company standards
- Maintain clean work areas and comply with health and safety regulations
- Bake, decorate, and prepare bakery items according to recipes and customer specifications
- Communicate effectively with customers and fellow associates about products, promotions, and inquiries
