Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to work full-time according to scheduled shifts
- Willingness to follow company policies and procedures
- Completion of required company training programs
- Ability to safely handle food and chemicals according to standards
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift as required by the job
- Reliable attendance and punctuality with prior notification of absence or tardiness
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Compliance with health and safety regulations
- Demonstrated teamwork and customer service orientation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One to three months of related experience or training preferred
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
- Basic mathematical skills for handling money and measurement tasks
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures
- Demonstrated dependability and punctuality
- Ability to work cooperatively within a team and support fellow associates
- Completion of company-mandated training including food safety, sanitation, and customer service
- Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly and perform tasks involving standing, walking, and manual dexterity
Job Duties
- Take excellent care of customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding expectations
- Prepare, process, package, and stock fresh food products according to company standards
- Provide exceptional customer service through genuine, clear communication and prompt assistance
- Operate bakery and food preparation equipment effectively
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food prep areas, counters, and displays
- Unload and stock merchandise according to Fresh Foods standards
- Follow all safety, food safety, and sanitation regulations
- Assist in inventory management, price changes, and record keeping
- Communicate product information and promotions to customers and associates
- Handle customer requests and complaints courteously and escalate when necessary
- Collaborate with fellow associates to maintain a positive and efficient work environment
- Manage product rotation, markdowns, and ensure freshness
- Conduct quality checks on refrigerated and stored products
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to perform multiple tasks and adjust to changing priorities
