Takeda is currently seeking to hire a Receptionist at one of its BioLife Plasma Donation Centers located in Houston, Texas. This full-time, regular employee position plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of the plasma center by engaging with donors and supporting administrative activities. The starting hourly wage for this role is $16.00, with compensation in line with local state minimum wage laws and potential eligibility for short-term incentives.

In the role of Receptionist, you will be the initial point of contact for both new and returning plasma donors, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment. The position involves answering phones, greeting visitors, scheduling and assisting with appointments, and maintaining accurate donor records. This role demands excellent customer service skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting. The Receptionist will also support the plasma center management by identifying process improvement opportunities and following company procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to walk and or stand for entire work shift
  • will work evenings weekends and holidays
  • ability to lean bend stoop crouch and reach above shoulders and below knees
  • ability to lift 1 to 5 lbs occasional lifting up to 32 lbs rarely 50 lbs
  • fine motor coordination depth perception and ability to hear equipment from a distance
  • 90 percent of work tasks require prolonged glove wear due to bloodborne pathogen exposure
  • minimum 1 year experience in customer or patient facing role

Job Duties

  • Answer phones and greet all visitors promptly exhibiting customer service skills
  • assist donors with appointments and create or pull donor record files

  • report to center management team identifying operational opportunities for improvements
  • initiate changes to center processes using company approved procedures
