Job Description
Swissport is a globally recognized leader in aviation services, providing essential Ground Handling, Cargo Handling, and Passenger Services to over 300 million passengers every year. With a commitment to delivering consistent and tailor-made solutions worldwide, Swissport plays a vital role in enhancing the travel experience within the aviation industry. The company values its people as its unique differentiator and is guided by core principles such as Show You Care, Do the Right Things, and Win as a Team. These values foster a collaborative and supportive work environment, which attracts dedicated professionals from around the globe to work at various Swissport locations.
We are currently seeking an experienced Bartender (21+) to join our team. This role is integral to our fast-paced airport environment, where delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and compliance are paramount. The bartender will be responsible for preparing and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, engaging with passengers and guests, and ensuring the bar area is orderly and compliant with health and safety standards. This position requires strong mixology skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic workplace. The role demands flexibility, as it involves working early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays according to operational needs.
The Bartender position offers a competitive hourly wage of $25 and is a full-time role that includes various health and wellness benefits such as dental and health insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid vacation and sick time, and company-paid holidays. This comprehensive benefits package supports employee well-being and financial security.
The successful candidate will greet customers warmly, serve drinks accurately following established recipes, maintain cleanliness through routine sanitation and bar upkeep, and restock supplies while practicing proper inventory management techniques. Additionally, the bartender will assist with stock rotation, manage waste disposal following standard operating procedures, and contribute to a positive atmosphere by interacting with guests and encouraging repeat visits.
Physical stamina and the ability to work on one’s feet for long shifts are essential, as well as the capability to lift up to 50 pounds safely. Excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to cooperate with colleagues are highly valued traits. Background checks and required licenses such as a Food Handler's license and Responsible Beverage Service license (or the willingness to obtain them) are also necessary.
Swissport fosters an inclusive and diverse workplace and invites applicants who reflect these values to apply. Joining Swissport means becoming part of a global team that connects the world through aviation, delivering exceptional experiences, and growing professionally in a reputable company with solid industry presence.
