This full-time position offers an average of 38 hours per week with a competitive starting wage of $26.00 per hour, which increases to $27.00 per hour in the second year. The Assistant Store Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the store’s direct leader by overseeing daily store operations, driving performance improvements, and fostering a productive team atmosphere. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Minimum of 3 years progressive retail experience
Prior management experience preferred
Ability to work independently and in a team
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to provide and lead customer service

Ability to set goals and evaluate employee performance
Understanding of budgeting and personnel cost management
Proficient in cash register operations

Job Duties

Assist the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results
Establish and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports
Identify training and development opportunities for direct reports
Understand and model company strategy and core values
Monitor competitive environment and inform direct leader of necessary adjustments
Provide product feedback and recommendations
Participate in interviewing store personnel
Communicate key information and milestones to team
Ensure adherence to inventory, product handling, and cash control policies
Resolve operational customer concerns in the absence of direct leader
Identify and rectify hazards and maintain store equipment
Maintain store cleanliness and proper signage
Assist with product ordering to maintain stock levels
Merchandise products neatly to maximize sales
Ensure quality and freshness of products and accuracy of signage
Assist with payroll, budget, inventory counts, and employee training
Supervise day-to-day operations and escalate issues as needed
Ensure timely and effective completion of responsibilities by direct reports
Comply with company policies and uphold document confidentiality
Perform other duties as assigned
