Joining ALDI as an Assistant Store Manager means stepping into a pivotal leadership role designed to support store operations and drive performance. Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • minimum of 3 years progressive retail experience

Job Duties

  • Assist the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results
  • establish and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports
  • identify training and development opportunities for staff
  • understand and model company core values and strategy
  • monitor competitive environment and recommend adjustments
  • provide product feedback including recommendations on new or discontinued items
  • participate in interviewing store personnel
  • communicate weekly information and major milestones
  • ensure adherence to inventory procedures and cash control policies
  • resolve operational customer concerns in leader's absence
  • identify and rectify hazards and maintain store equipment
  • maintain store cleanliness and signage
  • assist with maintaining proper stock levels through ordering
  • merchandise products neatly to maximize sales
  • ensure quality and freshness of products and accuracy of signage
  • assist with store payroll and loss budgets, inventory counts, and training new employees
  • supervise daily team operations and escalate issues as needed
  • ensure timely and effective completion of assigned responsibilities by direct reports
  • comply with company policies and uphold confidentiality of documents and data
  • perform other duties as assigned
