The role of Assistant Store Manager at ALDI is a full-time position with an average of 38 hours per week, starting at $25.50 per hour with a wage increase to $26.50 per hour in the second year. This role involves assisting the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations to ensure efficiency and profitability. The Assistant Store Manager will play a key part in supervising store activities, managing schedules, and executing operational action plans aimed at enhancing store performance. Job Requirements

Be 18 years of age or older

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Minimum of 3 years progressive retail experience
Prior management experience preferred
Ability to lead and develop a team
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interpret and apply company policies
Competency in budgeting and personnel cost management
Proficient in operating cash register and store equipment
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Ability to provide and lead excellent customer service
Meets state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages

Job Duties

Assist the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results
Establish and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports
Identify training and development opportunities for direct reports to enhance performance
Understand and model the company's core values to promote teamwork
Monitor the competitive environment and inform leadership of necessary adjustments
Provide product feedback and recommendations
Participate in interviewing and hiring store personnel
Communicate key information and updates to the team
Ensure adherence to inventory procedures, product handling, and cash control policies
Resolve operational customer concerns in the absence of the direct leader
Identify and rectify store hazards and maintain equipment
Maintain store cleanliness and proper signage
Assist with maintaining proper stock levels and product ordering
Merchandise products neatly to maximize sales
Ensure product quality, freshness, and signage accuracy
Support store payroll and loss budget management
Supervise daily operations and escalate issues as needed
Ensure timely completion of assigned responsibilities by direct reports
Comply with company policies and confidentiality requirements
Perform other duties as assigned
