Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- minimum three years of progressive experience in a retail environment
- prior management experience preferred
- ability to stock merchandise and lift up to 45 pounds
- ability to perform physical tasks including sitting, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and walking
- ability to work both independently and with teams
- age 18 or older
- ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- ability to communicate effectively
- ability to safely operate store equipment
- ability to follow company policies and procedures
- meet state and local requirements for selling alcoholic beverages

Job Duties
- assist the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results
- establish and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports
- identify training and development opportunities for direct reports
- understand company strategy and communicate core values
- monitor competitive environment and inform direct leader
- provide product feedback and recommendations
- participate in interviewing store personnel
- communicate weekly information, team milestones, and concerns
- ensure adherence to inventory procedures, product handling, and cash control policies
- resolve operational customer concerns in direct leader's absence
- identify and rectify hazards and maintain store equipment
- maintain store cleanliness and proper signage
- assist with maintaining proper stock levels through product ordering
- merchandise products neatly to maximize sales
- ensure product quality, freshness, and signage accuracy
- assist with achieving payroll and loss budget, inventory counts, and training new employees
- supervise day-to-day operations and escalate issues as needed
- ensure timely and effective completion of direct reports' responsibilities
- comply with company policies and maintain confidentiality
- perform other duties as assigned
