The position of Assistant Store Manager at ALDI is a full-time role requiring an average of 38 hours per week, with a starting wage of $25.50 per hour and a wage increase to $26.50 per hour in the second year. This role plays a critical part in supporting the Store Manager by overseeing daily store operations and helping drive store performance. The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for assisting in the management of schedules, developing operational action plans, and identifying training opportunities to ensure staff growth and development. This role demands active participation in various store functions including inventory control, customer service, employee supervision, and maintaining store standards. Additional responsibilities include operational oversight such as monitoring competitive market conditions, recommending product selections, and upholding company policies and procedures to minimize losses and enhance customer experience. Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to provide and lead prompt and courteous customer service

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 3 years progressive retail experience
- Prior management experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and in a team

Job Duties
- Assists direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results
- Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports
- Identifies training and development opportunities for direct reports

- Monitors community competitive environment and informs leadership
- Provides product feedback and recommendations
- Participates in interviewing store personnel

- Identifies and rectifies hazards, maintaining proper store equipment
- Maintains store cleanliness and proper signage
- Assists with stock level maintenance and product ordering
- Merchandises product to maximize sales
- Ensures product quality and signage accuracy
- Assists with payroll, budget, inventory counts, and employee training
- Supervises day-to-day team operations and escalates issues appropriately
- Ensures timely and effective completion of responsibilities
- Complies with company policies and confidentiality requirements
- Performs other duties as assigned
