Job Description
Pyramid Global Hospitality is a leading hospitality management company known for its strong commitment to putting people first. The company fosters a supportive and inclusive work environment that highlights diversity, growth, development, and employee wellbeing. With over 230 properties worldwide, Pyramid Global Hospitality emphasizes employee development, offering comprehensive benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, unique perks like on-site wellness programs, local discounts, and employee rates on hotel stays. This focus on creating meaningful relationships and career advancement opportunities makes Pyramid Global Hospitality an exceptional place to work, whether you are new to the industry or an experienced professional.
The Colorado Springs Marriott, part of the Pyramid Global Hospitality family, is nestled near the scenic Rocky Mountains and the vibrant downtown area of Colorado Springs, Colorado's second-largest city. This property offers a mix of modern amenities including pet-friendly rooms and suites, a full-service restaurant with an outdoor patio, 15 flexible event spaces, a fitness center, and pools. It caters to outdoor enthusiasts and travelers seeking quality and comfort in a welcoming environment. The hotel’s Culture of Care creates an atmosphere where employees and guests alike feel valued and supported.
The role of Assistant Housekeeping Manager at the Colorado Springs Marriott represents a critical leadership position within the housekeeping department. This salaried role, offering a competitive pay rate between $23.00 and $24.00 per hour, involves supervising the daily activities of the housekeeping team, performing room and property inspections, training and developing staff, managing schedules, and stepping in as the acting leader during the Executive Housekeeper's absence. This role requires someone who has strong operational instincts and the ability to maintain high cleanliness and sanitation standards, contributing directly to the guest experience.
A key responsibility of the Assistant Housekeeping Manager is to act as Manager on Duty during certain shifts, a role that demands sound judgment, calm authority, and the ability to handle situations independently. This person will collaborate closely with other hotel departments such as Front Desk and Maintenance to ensure room readiness and address guest concerns. The position requires a flexible schedule with weekend and holiday work being mandatory due to the continuous nature of hotel housekeeping operations.
Success in this position means being a people-first leader who earnestly invests in their team, providing coaching and support to maintain high performance and morale. The role also entails managing administrative functions including interviewing, orienting new hires, conducting training, and assisting with labor management in line with the hotel’s financial objectives. Physically active and hands-on, the role involves walking the property extensively, conducting inspections, and sometimes assisting with housekeeping duties when needed.
This is a fantastic opportunity for hospitality professionals seeking a meaningful leadership role within a world-class hotel property and a company that prioritizes career development and employee wellbeing. The Colorado Springs Marriott is part of the Pyramid Global Hospitality family, which embodies a People First culture that values fairness, respect, and growth. This position not only offers competitive compensation but also the chance to be part of a supportive, dynamic team committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences and upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and service.
