The position also offers a weekly bonus, highlighting the hotel's commitment to rewarding hardworking team members.
The job itself is centered on food preparation within a busy kitchen environment. Responsibilities include preparing a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other ingredients according to strict production requirements and quality standards, all while maintaining a safe and sanitary workspace. Communication with kitchen staff and reporting any issues with food quality or equipment promptly to the chef on duty are essential components of the job.
Physical demands of the job include lifting, pushing, and carrying heavy items (up to 70 lbs), bending, kneeling, continuous standing, and mobility throughout the kitchen space. The work environment can vary from extremely cold freezer temperatures to hot kitchen fronts exceeding 100 degrees, emphasizing the need for stamina and physical resilience.
