Job Description
Walmart Central Fill Pharmacy is a state-of-the-art facility that specializes in processing and dispensing prescriptions for multiple retail pharmacy locations within a specified region. Unlike traditional pharmacies that interact directly with patients, the Central Fill Pharmacy operates behind the scenes, powered by advanced automation technology to ensure that prescriptions are filled quickly, accurately, and efficiently. This system supports retail pharmacies by freeing up time for pharmacists and pharmacy staff to focus more on delivering clinical services and patient education, thereby enhancing the overall quality of care within the communities served.\n\nLocated in Litchfield Park, AZ, the Central Fill Pharmacy serves as a critical hub in the prescription fulfillment process. This facility emphasizes speed and precision through automation, reducing wait times and minimizing errors. As part of Walmart, the world’s largest retailer, this pharmacy upholds the company’s high standards of service, innovation, and community care. \n\nThe role of Custodian at Walmart Central Fill Pharmacy is vital to maintaining an environment that is clean, safe, and organized, which is essential for the smooth operation of the pharmacy. Operating on the first shift, the custodian is entrusted with responsibilities ranging from routine cleaning duties to minor maintenance tasks. Their work ensures that all facility areas—including offices, restrooms, conference rooms, lobbies, elevators, and parking lots—are kept spotless and well-maintained. A significant part of the job entails ensuring compliance with OSHA and local health regulations by properly sanitizing surfaces and maintaining hygiene standards throughout the facility.\n\nThis position is full-time with a starting pay of $16.00 per hour, and it requires flexibility in scheduling. The workweek generally consists of five days totaling 40 hours, primarily Monday through Friday, with some availability required on Sundays. The operational hours may vary between 5:00 AM and 5:00 PM, while Saturdays are observed as non-working days. Candidates are expected to be reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying facility issues and reporting them promptly. They must also emulate Walmart’s core values by acting with integrity, respect, and dedication to excellence in their daily duties.\n\nWalmart offers competitive pay, including opportunities for performance-based incentive awards. Employees enjoy a robust benefits package that features health insurance, a 401(k) matching program, stock purchase plans, paid maternity and parental leave, paid time off (PTO), and multiple health plan options. Additionally, Walmart emphasizes a supportive workplace culture focused on equity, diversity, and inclusion. As an equal opportunity employer, Walmart values unique perspectives and encourages associates to bring their whole selves to work. This ensures a welcoming environment where every employee can thrive and contribute meaningfully to the company’s mission of helping people live better lives. Choosing a custodian role at Walmart Central Fill Pharmacy means being part of a reputable company committed not only to operational excellence but also to employee well-being and community impact.
