We are currently seeking a Full Stack Cloud Developer to join our team supporting the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Office of the Chief Information Officer (HUD OCIO). This fully remote position involves designing, architecting, and delivering secure, scalable, cloud-native applications with end-to-end solution ownership including user interface, backend services, data management, integrations, and AI/ML capabilities. The role requires deep technical expertise, architectural decision-making skills, and the ability to guide and mentor engineering teams in modern engineering practices such as DevSecOps and cloud automation. The Full Stack Cloud Developer will lead technical initiatives, define engineering best practices, perform architecture reviews, and ensure compliance with federal security standards including FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST 800-53.

Candidates for this position must have at least 7 years of full-stack development experience in modern cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and Java. Expertise in front-end frameworks like React and TypeScript, backend development using Node.js, Python (Django/FastAPI), and Java (Spring Boot) alongside database management for SQL and NoSQL systems is essential. The developer will build scalable cloud applications using serverless technologies, containers, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation), and own CI/CD pipelines to automate secure deployment workflows.

An important aspect of this role is the integration of AI/ML features using platforms such as Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, and Google Vertex. The ideal candidate will have experience leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), embeddings, vector search, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures while adhering to AI governance, responsible AI practices, and data privacy constraints.

This opportunity provides a chance to work with cutting-edge technologies aligned with federal mission goals in a dynamic and supportive environment. Candidates must reside within the United States and successfully pass a federal background check including a NACI clearance. The position offers a challenging, rewarding career path for developers passionate about cloud-native innovations and AI/ML advancements in federal technology.
