The Full Service Restaurant Manager role at Ling & Louie's is an exciting career opportunity designed for a dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment. This exempt management position offers a competitive salary ranging from $62,000 to $68,000 annually, in addition to bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package. The manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations with a primary goal of boosting sales, increasing profits, and ensuring outstanding guest satisfaction.

As a leader within the restaurant, the manager will work closely with the General Manager and management teams to develop and execute sales and profit strategies, maintain appropriate staffing levels, and ensure thorough training for front-of-house and back-of-house employees. The manager plays a key role in employee recruitment, selection, and development, actively contributing to reducing turnover rates while fostering a positive and inclusive team environment. A critical part of the role includes coordinating with Human Resources on staffing issues and terminations while maintaining consistency with company policies.

Additionally, the manager will monitor weekly sales and cost data, collaborate with the marketing department to optimize store marketing plans, and provide essential feedback to corporate staff regarding risk management, marketing initiatives, and human resources programs. Organizational skills, excellent communication, and an energetic, outgoing personality are essential for success in this role. The manager will also be responsible for upholding the company’s culture of respect, integrity, and continuous improvement through the philosophy of Kaizen.

This position demands an individual who can work varying shifts and maintain consistent attendance in a vibrant restaurant setting. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in typical restaurant conditions that might involve noise, heat, and other environmental factors.

Job Requirements

  • High school education required
  • 2 to 3 years full-service restaurant experience required
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand and exert mobility for up to four hours
  • Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, reach and squat frequently
  • Must have knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service
  • Must have knowledge of wine and drink recipes
  • Must be able to operate a keyboard and POS system
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Must be able to work varying shifts and maintain attendance
  • Must be able to work in noisy, hot, odorous restaurant environment
  • Must comply with company policies regarding drug, alcohol and harassment prohibitions

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Manage assigned restaurant with all operational issues to increase sales, profits and guest satisfaction
  • Assist General Manager in interviewing and selecting restaurant employees
  • Ensure proper staffing levels are maintained
  • Develop quarterly sales and profit plan with management team
  • Organize and follow up on all front-of-house and back-of-house training programs
  • Provide feedback to operations executives and corporate staff on marketing, human resources and risk management programs
  • Calculate and report weekly sales and cost numbers
  • Identify ideal store marketing plan in conjunction with marketing department
  • Coordinate employee terminations with human resources
  • Foster a cooperative and harmonious working climate
  • Promote the restaurant concept and public recognition
  • Work with human resources to reduce turnover and promote ongoing staff development
  • Oversee the development of all management team members
  • Perform other duties as required
