The role of a Hostess at Panda is crucial to the success of the restaurant and guest experience. As the first and last point of contact for guests, the Hostess sets the tone for each dining experience by providing warm welcomes and smooth seating arrangements. Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome guests promptly and warmly
  • provide menus and seat the party using good judgment
  • guide the party to tables and seat guests courteously
  • answer immediate questions about the menu and beverages
  • alert servers of special needs
  • guide guests to create a balanced flavored meal based on thorough menu knowledge
  • perform suggestive selling to maximize sales opportunities
  • accommodate special seating needs such as booster seats and high chairs
  • answer telephones, take messages and reservations
  • pre-plan seating for balanced stations
  • take and confirm take-out orders
  • ensure 100 percent accuracy of orders and special requests
  • assist kitchen staff in assembling take-out orders
  • present orders to guests and process payments
  • respond to requests or complaints and seek managerial assistance as needed
  • assist servers in serving beverages, wine, and cocktails
  • perform opening and closing routines including cleaning front desk and lobby
  • maintain clean and safe dining room by assisting servers
  • perform miscellaneous administrative tasks as assigned by management
