Job Requirements
- High school graduate
- restaurant experience a plus
- must be 18 years of age to carry alcoholic beverages
- clean and neat appearance with good personal hygiene
- courteous and enthusiastic communication style
- ability to communicate effectively with guests
- capable of standing for extended periods
- able to lift up to 50 pounds
- able to work in fast-paced and dynamic environment
- availability for flexible scheduling
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate
- prior restaurant experience preferred
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to maintain a courteous and enthusiastic communication style
- strong menu knowledge including taste profiles and ingredients
- ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- ability to provide excellent guest service and handle difficult situations professionally
Job Duties
- Greet and welcome guests promptly and warmly
- provide menus and seat the party using good judgment
- guide the party to tables and seat guests courteously
- answer immediate questions about the menu and beverages
- alert servers of special needs
- guide guests to create a balanced flavored meal based on thorough menu knowledge
- perform suggestive selling to maximize sales opportunities
- accommodate special seating needs such as booster seats and high chairs
- answer telephones, take messages and reservations
- pre-plan seating for balanced stations
- take and confirm take-out orders
- ensure 100 percent accuracy of orders and special requests
- assist kitchen staff in assembling take-out orders
- present orders to guests and process payments
- respond to requests or complaints and seek managerial assistance as needed
- assist servers in serving beverages, wine, and cocktails
- perform opening and closing routines including cleaning front desk and lobby
- maintain clean and safe dining room by assisting servers
- perform miscellaneous administrative tasks as assigned by management
