The Fulfillment & Delivery Team Member at Commonplace Coffee plays a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of order accuracy, safety, and customer satisfaction that define the company's reputation. This position involves the end-to-end handling of coffee orders, including packaging, labeling, weighing, grinding, and shipping coffee products, as well as performing wholesale deliveries with a strong emphasis on customer interaction and effective communication. As the direct representative of Commonplace Coffee during deliveries, the Team Member must exemplify professionalism, attention to detail, and operational efficiency.
In addition to managing daily order fulfillment tasks, the role requires coordination with the Production and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery. This includes maintaining accurate inventory records, reporting equipment maintenance needs, and gathering client feedback to continuously improve service quality. The position demands physical endurance to handle extended periods of standing, walking, lifting, and driving, matched with an ability to work effectively in busy warehouse and on-road environments.
The Fulfillment & Delivery Team Member position is available on both a full-time (40 hours per week) and part-time (16-24 hours per week) basis, with reports directly to the Warehouse & Fulfillment Manager. Job Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for 6-8 hour shifts
- Ability to sit and drive for long periods of time in a vehicle
- Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters and knives
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds frequently and team-lift up to 150 pounds occasionally
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with hands, wrists, and forearms
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members
- Ability to use warehouse equipment, including handcarts, pallet jacks, and ladders
- Ability to bend, twist, squat and reach
- Exposure to coffee dust, noise, and temperature extremes
- Willingness to obey all traffic laws
- None supervisory responsibilities
- Must be able to pass Motor Vehicle Records check

- Clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records check

- Experience working in a warehouse or production setting
Job Duties
- Accurately and efficiently fulfill coffee orders including labeling, dating, filling, sealing, weighing, counting, grinding, packing, and shipping
- Maintain a respectful and positive work environment for all employees
- Represent the mission and values of Commonplace Coffee
- Observe and uphold company policies
- Coordinate and communicate all necessary order details with the Warehouse & Fulfillment Manager
- Communicate inventory levels frequently and accurately to the Warehouse & Fulfillment Manager
- Communicate and properly record maintenance needs for equipment and vehicles with the Facilities Lead
- Communicate wholesale client feedback and client care information to the Wholesale Manager
- Answer and route phone calls to headquarters employees as appropriate
- Obey all traffic laws and constantly stay alert while driving
- Prepare for upcoming orders by completing tasks such as labeling, sorting, building boxes, or gathering products
- Observe and maintain cleaning procedures for the fulfillment space and headquarters as assigned
- Adapt tasks and responsibilities as the job evolves over time
