Job Description

Shining Petroleum is a well-established company specializing in the transportation of petroleum products across Kansas, Missouri, and Iowa. With a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, Shining Petroleum prioritizes the well-being of its drivers while ensuring timely delivery of high-quality fuel supplies. The company operates in a highly regulated industry where compliance with DOT and OSHA standards is critical. Known for fostering a supportive work environment, Shining Petroleum offers opportunities for experienced CDL-A drivers with tanker and hazmat endorsements to join a team that is home daily, providing stability and work-life balance in a demanding field.

The Fuel Transport Driver role at Shining Petroleum is designed for professional CDL-A drivers who possess tanker and hazmat endorsements. This position offers a minimum salary of $55,000 per year, with pay based on individual loads, allowing drivers to potentially increase their earnings through efficient and diligent work. This is a full-time position that emphasizes a five-day workweek with home-time guaranteed daily, a significant advantage in the trucking industry. The role involves transporting petroleum products during either day or night shifts, with each workday ranging from 10 to 12 hours depending on load availability and driver enthusiasm.

Drivers will experience a dynamic work environment spending much of their time outdoors exposed to varying weather conditions. Each shift involves continuous activity between loads with no downtime, although at least 10 hours of rest between shifts is mandated by DOT regulations. This schedule supports safe and legal driving practices. The geographical coverage for deliveries includes Kansas, Missouri, and Iowa, ensuring all trips are within a day's drive distance, allowing drivers to return home at the end of their shift. The role requires precision, reliability, and attention to detail in managing loads and adhering to safety regulations.

Shining Petroleum provides the necessary support and tools for drivers to succeed, including clear communication channels with dispatch to report any issues promptly. The company values drivers who demonstrate a strong work ethic, good customer service skills, and the ability to maintain thorough documentation and electronic logs. The physical demands of the position are considerable, including the ability to lift and maneuver hoses and cargo of up to 50 pounds and to perform inspections and maintenance checks on the truck and trailer. Comprehensive training and experience in handling hazardous materials safely are essential.

Overall, this role combines the challenge and responsibility of heavy vehicle operation with the benefits of a stable schedule and a supportive company culture. Drivers interested in this position will find it rewarding both financially and professionally, benefiting from the company's competitive pay structure and commitment to driver health and work-life integration. Shining Petroleum's focus on safety, compliance, and employee well-being makes it an ideal employer for experienced fuel transport drivers seeking a reliable and steady career.
