Job Requirements
- Age over 18 years or have proper work permit and authorization documentation
- Background clearances as required by government regulations
- Complete a health screening and provide negative TB test results within last 6 months or 7 days of employment
- Basic counting skills as required by tracking meals and residents
- Must be mindful regarding the use of resources and supplies minimizing waste
- Ability to stand for long periods, bend, kneel, stoop, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions
- Ability to lift/carry over 40 lbs and push/pull carts as necessary
- Complete and maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations including HIPAA and Resident Rights
- Background clearance without exclusions from Medicare/Medicaid programs
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Exposure to restaurant operations or ability to learn
- Good communication skills including the ability to speak, write, understand, and read English
- Ability to operate standard serving equipment such as salad bar cart, trays, heating cart
- Completion of dining room training course with CCG
- Ability to deal tactfully and professionally with diverse groups including residents and team members
- Must meet and maintain all state-specific regulatory requirements
Job Duties
- Take written food orders and serve meals to residents, family members, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
- Assist residents with meal/menu selections as necessary
- Use proper etiquette and manners while waiting tables courteously and professionally
- Review residents' dietary needs as outlined by supervisor
- Track resident attendance at meals and provide timely information to appropriate personnel
- Ensure all residents are greeted and seated properly and make extra efforts to integrate new residents
- Maintain a clean and sanitary dining area complying with all food handling policies
- Display tact and friendliness when interacting with residents, team members, and guests
- Aid in community marketing efforts through positive interactions, dress, and behavior
- Serve, clean, reset tables, and return dishes to the kitchen
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or executive director designee
- Clean and set up dining and food service areas including stocking condiments
- Cooperate with kitchen and dining services to ensure a positive resident dining experience
- Report safety or equipment issues to supervisor
