Job Requirements

  • Physical ability to perform medium work exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently
  • stamina to stand for long hours
  • ability to bend, stretch, twist, and reach
  • work under varying noise and temperature conditions
  • near vision to see details at close range
  • agile and quick to respond in emergency situations
  • possess good communication skills
  • comprehension and conveyance of information in English
  • prior experience in hotel kitchens preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary training in a college setting preferred
  • 1 to 5 years of prior cooking experience in hotel or related kitchens depending on role
  • proven ability to prepare food in banquet, fine dining, or line settings
  • effective communication skills in English
  • ability to follow safety and hygiene standards
  • capability to multitask and work in fast-paced environments

Job Duties

  • Prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals according to established recipes and quality standards
  • assist and train kitchen staff as a Lead Cook
  • oversee timely and accurate preparation of food items for all dining outlets
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations adhering to sanitation protocols
  • handle food safely and comply with safety and security policies
  • work collaboratively as part of the kitchen team to ensure guest satisfaction
  • monitor food orders and kitchen inventory to stay within budget
