Job Requirements
- Physical ability to perform medium work exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently
- stamina to stand for long hours
- ability to bend, stretch, twist, and reach
- work under varying noise and temperature conditions
- near vision to see details at close range
- agile and quick to respond in emergency situations
- possess good communication skills
- comprehension and conveyance of information in English
- prior experience in hotel kitchens preferred
Job Qualifications
- Culinary training in a college setting preferred
- 1 to 5 years of prior cooking experience in hotel or related kitchens depending on role
- proven ability to prepare food in banquet, fine dining, or line settings
- effective communication skills in English
- ability to follow safety and hygiene standards
- capability to multitask and work in fast-paced environments
Job Duties
- Prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals according to established recipes and quality standards
- assist and train kitchen staff as a Lead Cook
- oversee timely and accurate preparation of food items for all dining outlets
- maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations adhering to sanitation protocols
- handle food safely and comply with safety and security policies
- work collaboratively as part of the kitchen team to ensure guest satisfaction
- monitor food orders and kitchen inventory to stay within budget
