Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in cleaning or maintenance preferred
  • Ability to safely lift 50 lbs
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to follow directions accurately
  • Strong communication skills
  • Availability for various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical capability to perform repetitive tasks including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • Professional cleaning experience preferred
  • Demonstrated reliability in attendance and timeliness
  • Ability to follow directions and work independently
  • Ability to safely lift 50 lbs consistently
  • Ability to project a friendly and helpful presence to customers
  • Ability to follow written and oral directions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Organized with attention to details
  • Flexibility in scheduling including willingness to exchange and cover shifts

Job Duties

  • Proactively greet customers and follow 10/4 Rule
  • Answer customer questions and/or complaints completely and courteously or direct to appropriate person
  • Provide a welcoming atmosphere for member workers
  • Empty waste receptacles throughout and outside the building
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness of floors including dust mopping, sweeping, and damp mopping
  • Respond to service or spill calls promptly
  • Maintain restrooms cleanliness and sanitary condition including refilling dispensers and wiping surfaces
  • Manage trash, recyclables, and compost collection areas
  • Monitor waste removal from office spaces
  • Organize and manage laundry areas
  • Clean windows and check floor mats for safety and cleanliness
  • Vacuum carpeted offices, conference and practitioners rooms
  • Wipe down freezer and dairy cooler doors
  • Maintain mop sink and cleaning equipment
  • Assist with deep cleaning projects and restorative floor work
  • Use auto scrubber and burnisher for floor care
  • Perform basic maintenance on floor care equipment
  • Monitor, maintain, and clean outdoor areas including dumpster and grounds
  • Sweep dumpster areas and power wash as necessary
  • Maintain exterior building cleanliness including power washing siding and Plexiglas
  • Remove snow and apply ice melter on sidewalks
  • Perform lawn care including mowing, trimming, and raking
  • Clean bulk herb/spice counters, tables, scales, and related areas
  • Wash utensils specific to bulk cleaning during night shifts
  • Maintain cleanliness in cafe including wiping tables, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal
  • Manage community book shelves and assist kitchen steward with supply shortages
  • Vacuum and roll up mats, notify night manager of maintenance issues
  • Secure outdoor cafe furniture after hours
