  • valid Maricopa County Food Handler's Card

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary training or apprenticeship preferred
  • certification in food handling or safety is a plus
  • experience working in a Japanese restaurant highly desirable
  • proven experience as a sushi cook or similar role
  • strong knife skills
  • creativity in Japanese cuisine
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor

Job Duties

  • Prepare traditional and modern sushi dishes
  • select high-quality ingredients adhering to food safety standards
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi preparation area
  • present sushi dishes with visual appeal and flavor excellence
  • communicate professionally and courteously with guests
  • assist co-workers and participate as a team player
  • work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
