The company operates across 10 Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic states, employing approximately 82,000 associates who collectively serve over ten million customers weekly. Food Lion's commitment to quality, community focus, and customer satisfaction positions it as a trusted name in retail grocery operations. This role is based at Store 01518 Deli in Rural Hall, North Carolina, a location dedicated to delivering exemplary service and quality products to its customers. The store is known for its vibrant deli bakery department, which plays a crucial role in enhancing the shopping experience through fresh and delicious offerings.

Attention to detail extends to following local, state, and federal food safety regulations and workplace safety guidelines to protect both associates and customers.

Team collaboration is equally important, requiring associates to be courteous and helpful to fellow team members while wearing the Food Lion uniform proudly and maintaining a neat appearance in line with company dress code standards. The role also calls for adept use of technology with tools such as the average cost inventory system and computerized ordering systems, highlighting the importance of technical aptitude.

Furthermore, the Deli Bakery Associate is expected to engage in ongoing training programs, including computer-based training and other educational resources provided by Food Lion to continuously improve skills and knowledge relevant to the position. This commitment to learning ensures associates stay updated on best practices and contribute effectively to the store’s operational success. Working in this role means being part of a supportive environment that values safety, quality, customer focus, and teamwork, all contributing to Food Lion’s reputation as a leader in the grocery retail sector.
