The Cake Decorator position at Sam's Club is a vital role within the bakery department, responsible for crafting visually appealing and delicious cakes that meet and exceed member expectations. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, the Cake Decorator ensures that bakery products consistently maintain high standards of quality, food safety, and presentation. This role involves planning bakery production, decorating cakes using a variety of tools and techniques such as bags, tips, and nozzles to create decorative flowers, lettering, and custom designs that delight members. Adherence to recipe measurements, sanitation guidelines, and inventory control is essential to the successful execution of duties.

In this role, you will leverage digital tools to enhance sales, improve the shopping experience, and boost team engagement. Utilizing handheld technology, you will make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality with the member experience in mind. The Cake Decorator also plays an important role in managing waste, preparing for high-volume seasonal events, and assisting members with purchasing decisions to ensure their satisfaction. As a brand ambassador, you will model high-quality service and products, support and mentor team members, and promote a culture of respect, integrity, and continuous improvement.
