Job Description

Chobani is a renowned food maker with a dedicated mission to make high-quality and nutritious food accessible to a broader audience while uplifting communities and contributing to a healthier world. Established in 2005 by immigrant Hamdi Ulukaya, Chobani has positioned itself as a purpose-driven, people-first, and wellness-focused company. Its product line includes yogurt, oat milk, and creamers, with Chobani yogurt being America’s number one yogurt brand, known for its natural ingredients and absence of artificial preservatives. In 2023, Chobani expanded its portfolio by acquiring La Colombe, a prestigious coffee roaster that shares a commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and community impact. This acquisition enabled Chobani to introduce cold-pressed espresso, lattes on tap at cafes nationwide, and ready-to-drink coffee beverages available at retail outlets. Further growth followed with the acquisition of Daily Harvest in 2025, a brand offering nutritious, delicious, and convenient ready-to-make meals, solidifying Chobani’s presence in healthy food markets in North America, Australia, and other regions.

The Barista role at La Colombe, a division within Chobani, is central to bringing the brand’s vision to life on the ground. As a Barista, you become the heartbeat of the store, a community builder, and a passionate ambassador for the La Colombe brand. This customer-facing opportunity is perfect for individuals who thrive on creating meaningful connections through hospitality and service. The role involves engaging with customers warmly, taking orders, and making exceptional drinks with consistency and style. La Colombe provides comprehensive training to employees, enabling them to become coffee experts the company’s way. Beyond crafting drinks, the role emphasizes personal responsibility, teamwork, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, ensuring every customer enjoys a superior experience.

La Colombe values individuals who possess outgoing, friendly personalities and who enjoy making others feel special. The work environment is fast-paced, requiring multitasking abilities, a positive attitude, and the capability to stay cool under pressure. Baristas at La Colombe are also expected to embrace the company’s core principles—kindness, respect, deliciousness, efficiency, and cleanliness—and actively support their teammates. This role offers more than just a job; it provides a platform for career growth, with opportunities to advance into cafe management, training, operations, or sales roles. The cultural atmosphere prioritizes employee well-being and personal development, complemented by ongoing learning opportunities and a team-first approach. Compensation for the Barista position is $21.00 per hour, with benefits such as up to 60 hours of accrued paid time off combining vacation and personal time, plus 60 hours of flexible time off including sick leave. The company embraces diversity and is an equal opportunity employer, ensuring an inclusive and welcoming workplace for all.
