This position is a retail store role based in Fairless Hills, PA, at the location on 471 Oxford Valley Road. The role aligns with GIANT’s mission to put customers first and ensure that store operations run smoothly and efficiently while providing outstanding service to customers and a supportive environment for team members. The role involves working as part of the store management team with responsibilities that include supervising the daily operations of critical store departments, such as bakery and Starbucks oversight. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation, and guarantee an excellent customer experience every time. Responsibilities extend across managing team schedules, training and developing store employees, handling inventory and product stock, and ensuring store cleanliness and customer satisfaction.
Essential duties consist of order entering, work scheduling, supervision, training, and hands-on work such as assembling, baking, packaging, and labeling baked goods. Attention to detail in checking product dates and pricing of items is critical to maintaining store standards and reducing food waste. The candidate will also maintain the store’s Starbucks section, ensuring operational efficiency and customer service excellence. Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by sanitizing surfaces, tools, and equipment is mandatory, adhering to GIANT’s hygiene and safety standards.
The role demands physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform tasks that require ergonomic compliance and mechanical aptitude for handling equipment such as forklifts. Job Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- authorized to work legally in the U.S.
- minimum age of 18 years
- able to complete a 60-day probationary period
- meet the physical demands of lifting up to 50 lbs
- able to stand 55% and walk 45% of shift time
- capable of safely operating job-specific equipment
- demonstrate consistent attendance and punctuality
- agree to comply with company dress code
- hold valid identification
- must complete forklift training program
Job Qualifications
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively
- must be 18 years of age
- completion of a company introductory probationary period
- able to meet ergonomic and physical requirements
- able to use or learn necessary equipment and tools
- capable of performing all job functions safely
- meet company performance and attendance standards
- agree to dress code including specific clothes and shoes
- possess valid identification
- preferred one year of work experience or technical training
- completion of in-house forklift training
