The GIANT Company is a prominent and respected retail grocery chain serving millions of customers across Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and New Jersey. Known for its commitment to building strong families and healthy communities, the GIANT Company operates a network of stores that prioritizes quality, customer service, and community engagement. With a strong emphasis on inclusivity and diversity, this employer fosters a welcoming environment for team members and shoppers alike. The company upholds core values such as care, courage, integrity, teamwork, and humor, which guide all aspects of daily operations and corporate culture. This employee-centric approach not only enhances the shopping experience but also encourages professional growth among its workforce.

This particular opportunity is for individuals interested in joining the GIANT team in a retail store position located in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The role involves working within the store's operational environment, contributing directly to the preparation, stocking, and management of grocery and bakery goods. Team members are expected to uphold the standards of safety and quality that the GIANT Company is known for, as well as engage proactively with colleagues and customers to promote a positive and efficient store atmosphere. The work environment is dynamic and requires a motivated individual capable of handling physical tasks while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.

As a team member, you will play a key role in ensuring the store's daily readiness by reviewing work schedules, checking equipment and supplies, and complying with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements at the start of each shift. Duties span from entering orders and scheduling production to supervising and training fellow team members. The role also involves the assembly and mixing of ingredients, baking goods, packaging finished products with proper labeling, and maintaining clean display cases and work areas. You will be entrusted with tasks that emphasize attention to detail, adherence to health and safety regulations, and a collaborative spirit to meet both customer expectations and store operational goals.

The GIANT Company values and expects its team members to take initiative, demonstrate reliability, and embrace continuous learning to improve their skills and contribute positively to the work environment. The position requires physical stamina to handle tasks such as lifting items up to 50 pounds, standing for over half of the shift, and performing continuous job cycles related to stocking and production. There is also a focus on safety with training provided for specific equipment, including forklift operation when required.

Overall, joining the GIANT Company provides an opportunity to work in a respected retail environment dedicated to supporting both community and employee development.
