This particular role is based in Leland, North Carolina, at Store 01655 Deli, located at 1735 Reed Road. The Deli Manager Support position plays a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the store. This role involves supporting the management team to achieve financial and sales goals by overseeing daily activities and associating with both customers and staff to create a positive and efficient working environment. The position emphasizes leadership, communication, and operational skills to ensure that all deli and bakery products meet company standards regarding quality, safety, and presentation. Job Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent
ability to lead and manage a team
strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred
effective communication, customer service and selling skills
ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements
ability to use technical information to solve problems
must meet minimum age requirements
must be accredited as a Certified Food Safety Manager or obtain certification within 90 days and maintain accreditation

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Manage the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the absence of the Deli Manager
daily management of labor and the coaching of associates to achieve productivity expectations
provide leadership and motivation within the store to promote a culture reflective of our Brand Strategy and Culture
support the achievement of budgeted financial and operating results
maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with primary emphasis on fast, easy, flexible and friendly customer service
role model outstanding, friendly customer service and use skills and knowledge of department products to offer solutions that meet or exceed customers' expectations
control store's expenses through proper ordering, care for supplies and equipment
use company tools such as financial reports, ACIS, scheduling, productivity, ordering (CAO), and business information systems
ensure department appearance, quality, variety, workplace safety, food safety and sanitation standards are consistently maintained
ensure Deli Bakery HMS schedules provide extraordinary customer service at all times
ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise comply with policies
observe and correct unsafe conditions
ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations
record and report all associate and customer accidents
monitor shrink and provide coaching to prevent losses
properly utilize all advertising and sales promotion materials
adhere to company guidelines, policies and standard practices
maintain security standards
keep a neat, well-groomed personal appearance and comply with dress code
complete Computer Based Training, Training Packet and Training Aid courses
meet physical requirements of the position
perform all other assigned duties
