Our company is a well-established food processing facility committed to upholding the highest standards of food safety, quality assurance, and compliance with all relevant regulations. We pride ourselves on delivering safe, high-quality food products to consumers while maintaining a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. Operating under stringent USDA/FSIS regulations and Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards, we focus on maintaining customer confidence and meeting or exceeding industry benchmarks. Our team is composed of dedicated professionals who are passionate about food safety, quality control, and customer satisfaction, all working collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. We invite candidates who share our values and commitment to safety and quality to join our growing team.
The FSQA Director role is vital within our organization, responsible for overseeing all food safety and quality assurance programs at the processing facility. This leadership position ensures that all food safety protocols, including Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), are implemented, validated, and verified correctly and consistently. The Director plays a key role in managing compliance with USDA/FSIS regulations as well as customer and internal company standards. In addition to regulatory compliance, the role requires strong partnerships with various operational teams such as production, sanitation, maintenance, and quality assurance to address any issues promptly and facilitate continuous improvements.
This position involves leading and developing the FSQA team, which includes supervisors and hourly representatives, with a focus on technical competency, team performance, and fostering a strong food safety culture throughout the facility. Key responsibilities include managing regulatory relationships with FSIS personnel, analyzing FSQA data to detect trends, initiating corrective action plans, and driving projects aimed at improving process control and equipment performance. The FSQA Director also serves as a key liaison for handling customer complaints and quality concerns, providing thorough investigations, root cause analyses, and sustainable resolutions to maintain and enhance customer confidence.
Offering a competitive salary range between $140,000 and $175,000 per year, this role demands a proactive leader with excellent communication skills, strong decision-making abilities, and proven experience within the food processing industry. Candidates should be adept at collaboration across multiple departments to support the consistent delivery of products that meet regulatory and customer expectations. Additionally, the Director is responsible for operational scheduling, timekeeping, and managing disciplinary actions within the FSQA team to ensure high performance and adequate staffing levels. Flexibility in working hours is expected to meet the demands of the production environment.
This position represents an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional seeking to advance their career in food safety and quality assurance leadership within a respected food processing company. The role underscores the importance of a safety-first mindset combined with operational excellence and customer-centric problem-solving to uphold the company’s reputation and product quality.
