Job Requirements

High or secondary school diploma or equivalent
Relevant formal academic or vocational qualification
Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience
Familiarity with laboratory balances, pipettes, and HPLCs
Experience with cGMP and FDA compliance
Strong communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team
Customer-focused with strong time management
Attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to handle audits and compliance documentation
Capacity to troubleshoot and maintain laboratory instruments

Job Qualifications

High or secondary school diploma or equivalent with relevant formal academic or vocational qualification
Bachelor’s degree or technical certificate is a plus
Previous experience providing knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job, comparable to at least 4 years
Familiarity with balances, pipettes, and HPLCs in the laboratory
Demonstrated work experience in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and FDA requirements, including Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
Detail-oriented and well-organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively to ensure project completion with minimal supervision
Customer-focused attitude with urgency to meet timelines
Experience reviewing data for accuracy and compliance with specifications
Strong commitment to accuracy and truthfulness
Ability to effectively communicate with team members, co-workers, and customers
Self-motivated and driven to see projects through to completion
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Job Duties

Perform routine and remedial maintenance on active instrumentation and equipment
Perform calibrations and qualifications on active instrumentation and equipment including installation qualification (IQ), operational qualification (OQ), and performance qualification (PQ)
Provide installation oversight of new laboratory instrumentation and equipment
Review vendor documentation related to preventive maintenance, calibration, qualification, and repairs
Assist and prepare standard operating procedures (SOPs) for operation, maintenance, and calibration of laboratory instrumentation and equipment
Address internal and external audits on laboratory instruments and equipment
Evaluate laboratory support records for compliance with SOPs and report findings
Review and approve vendor-executed calibration, maintenance, repair, and performance verification documents
Prepare documentation for Quality Assurance approval prior to work execution
Monitor schedules to ensure timely completion of calibration, performance verification testing, and maintenance services
Ensure calibration testing on laboratory equipment follows established protocols
Oversee vendors during work execution ensuring adherence to safety and compliance practices
Report any deviations, discrepancies, or safety concerns immediately and propose or implement corrective actions
Ensure instruments are ready for use after vendor work completion
Collaborate with the quality unit to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation and resolve compliance concerns
Regularly review and prioritize customer equipment performance verification and support requests responding promptly
Interact effectively with laboratory, Quality Assurance, and other departments
Interface with customers to ensure expectations are met
