The role of General Manager at the Sioux Falls Regional Airport station represents a key leadership position within UGE. As General Manager, you will be entrusted with overseeing all aspects of the station's daily operations, financial performance, and team management, making your contribution critical to the overall travel experience of customers at the station. This is a full-time, highly responsible role where you will direct operational staff, monitor performance metrics, and ensure compliance with all safety and security regulations. You will be expected to foster a positive workplace by motivating and coaching your team, maintaining high standards of professionalism, and creating an inviting environment for both customers and employees. This position demands a leader with strong interpersonal skills, decisive problem-solving capabilities, and a flexible work schedule to handle operational challenges effectively.
In this capacity, you will drive the station's success through meticulous budget management, staffing forecasts, and operational adjustments designed to improve service delivery. Your responsibilities also include maintaining the station's physical facilities, managing vendor contracts, and building collaborative relationships with airport authorities, governmental agencies such as the FAA, TSA, and CBP, and internal UGE divisions. A significant part of your role involves soliciting customer feedback to continuously enhance the traveler's experience and responding calmly and effectively to periods of high volume or irregular operations. By setting a positive example and ensuring compliance with station controls and internal audit standards, you will contribute significantly to the sustained excellence of UGE's operations at Sioux Falls Regional Airport.

- Must possess and maintain a valid US state driver's license. (Suspended, expired, revoked, or denied licenses are not valid.)
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and coach others
- Must be flexible to work all shifts and, when necessary, available 7 days a week / 24 hours a day, including holidays and weekends, to deal with any operational and / or unforeseen situations
- Previous service or operational experience required
- Previous supervisory experience required
- College degree or equivalent work experience required

Job Duties
- Responsible for day-to-day operational and financial performance of assigned station, monitoring performance against plan and initiating corrective actions to improve results
- Ensures compliance with safety requirements including security checkpoint and GSC responsibilities
- Sets a positive example for the station team to ensure excellent customer service
- Responsible for maintaining a positive work environment, strong employee relations, and collaborative relationships
- Solicits customer feedback to understand customer needs and opportunities to improve their travel experience
- Demonstrates a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or irregular operations
- Provides coaching and direction to the station team to achieve operational goals
- Manages the operations budget, staffing forecasts and resource requirements
- Responsible for maintaining station facilities, equipment, and professional appearance standards
- Responsible for compliance with Station controls and Internal Audit standards
- Maintain strong working relationships with OAL, airport authorities, vendors, governmental authorities (FAA, TSA, CBP), and internal divisions
- Manage vendor service contracts as required
- Performs other duties as assigned
