The role of Fry Cook at Hyatt Regency Waikiki is a vital position within the culinary team. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cooking experience preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Willingness to learn and follow proper cooking procedures
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods
  • Compliance with food safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Able to work AM and PM shifts
  • Two years of previous line experience preferred
  • Culinary degree or related hotel experience is preferred
  • Able to perform all basic cooking skills
  • Comfortable with prepping for station
  • Able to work single station in the kitchen
  • Demonstrates a true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Refined verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare fried food items according to established recipes and standards
  • Ensure station is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations
  • Assist with prepping ingredients for the station
  • Work independently at assigned single station in the kitchen
  • Follow instructions and procedures provided by kitchen supervisors
  • Maintain communication with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations
