The role of Line Cook at Pietro's is essential to maintaining the restaurant's reputation for quality and consistency. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience working in a kitchen environment
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Availability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Be 18 years of age
  • Previous experience as a line cook preferred
  • Ability to lift 30+ lbs
  • Ability to work standing for 8+ hours

Job Duties

  • Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality and rotating stock
  • Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperatures by regulating ovens and grills
  • Season and cook food according to recipes
  • Portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area
  • Follow proper plate presentation and garnish setup for all dishes
  • Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods
  • Close the kitchen properly and follow closing checklist
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Kitchen Manager
