Job Requirements
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
- Strong commitment to uphold food safety and cleanliness standards
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
- Reliable work attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow proprietary recipes and production methods accurately
- Willingness to learn and be trained if no prior baking or frosting experience
Job Qualifications
- Ability to understand written and oral directions including recipes, operating procedures, and health and safety rules
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks requiring strength to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Ability to operate commercial-grade ovens and bakery equipment safely
- Attention to detail with exact measurements and strict adherence to timing and production schedules
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate clearly and respectfully
- Diligent, organized, and self-motivated with ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Prior baking or frosting experience preferred but not required
- Previous experience in bakery or food service operational support is a plus
Job Duties
- Follow NbC proprietary frosting recipe and application methods with precision and achieve productivity goals
- Effectively use measuring instruments, commercial-grade or handheld mixers, and pastry bags to frost cakes
- Prioritize cake pre-orders according to schedule and frost cakes for walk-in guest orders
- Keep the bakery display case fully stocked with samples and frosted cakes, maintaining appropriate par levels
- Adhere to proper packaging, labeling, and storage of frosted cakes and maintain product rotation standards and refrigeration logs
- Monitor inventory of frosting supplies and notify management when replenishment is needed
- Evaluate baked and frosted cakes to ensure adherence to NbC quality standards and report any quality control issues
- Clean, sanitize, and restock the frosting workstation and prepare supplies for the next shift
- Comply with all health and safety guidelines, NbC policies, and procedures including dress code and personal hygiene
- Maintain consistent work attendance and punctuality
