The Modern is currently seeking passionate and dedicated Front Waiters to join its elite service team. As a Front Waiter, you are the backbone of the restaurant's service operation, responsible for the professional sale and delivery of food and drinks, while leading the floor with grace and attentiveness. Job Requirements

  • 1+ years' experience in a guest-facing fine dining restaurant role
  • Keen understanding of Michelin-starred service and world-class hospitality
  • English fluency
  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to balance and carry multiple plates glass racks and or glasses
  • Ability to lift objects up to 30 lbs

Job Qualifications

  • 1+ years' experience in a guest-facing fine dining restaurant role
  • Keen understanding of Michelin-starred service and world-class hospitality
  • English fluency with additional languages preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Consistently support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality
  • Demonstrate expertise of all food and beverage menu items with sound knowledge of all ingredients and preparations
  • Consistently follow steps of service with efficiency and grace while maintaining a sense of urgency throughout service
  • Anticipate guest needs ensuring constant communication with colleagues management and the kitchen at all times during service
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout all areas of the restaurant before during and after service
  • Demonstrate eagerness to continue to learn and grow
  • Act as a leader on the floor providing warm and attentive hospitality
