The Front Office Supervisor role at OTO Development presents an exciting career opportunity within the property department. This hourly position plays a critical role in maintaining the high standards of guest service and operational efficiency OTO is known for, working closely under the direction of the General Manager. The Front Office Supervisor will oversee the front desk team to facilitate seamless check-in and check-out processes, manage reservations accurately via advanced electronic systems, and ensure all financial transactions are handled securely and with integrity. A key aspect of the role involves anticipating and responding to guest needs to maximize satisfaction, fostering a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the guest stay.

Beyond direct guest interaction, the Front Office Supervisor is also responsible for upholding hotel safety protocols, managing documentation such as daily reports and checklists, and collaborating with team members to sustain a hospitable work environment. Given the physical demands of the job, candidates must be comfortable with prolonged standing, walking, bending, and lifting. The position offers a competitive pay range between $15.81 and $30.94 per hour, which is dependent on state, market, and experience. Job Requirements

  • Two or more years experience working in a front desk or receptionist type role
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
  • willingness to stand, sit, walk, bend, lift, and squat for extended periods
  • dedication to guest satisfaction and problem resolution
  • minimal travel availability

Job Qualifications

  • Two or more years of experience in a front desk or receptionist role
  • excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • proven ability to work well in a team environment
  • strong guest service orientation with a focus on problem solving and solution finding
  • capable of managing financial transactions with integrity
  • knowledgeable in using hotel electronic reservation systems

Job Duties

  • Assist guests in the check-in and check-out procedure, as well as throughout their stay
  • work proficiently on the hotel electronic reservation system and other computer programs
  • handle all financial matters including credit card and cash transactions securely and accurately
  • anticipate guests' needs and enhance the guest experience
  • work collaboratively with team members to maintain a hospitable and customer-focused environment
  • ensure accurate handling of guest reservations, payments, and procedures
  • maintain compliance with hotel safety programs and emergency systems
  • complete all required documentation such as daily reports and checklists in a timely manner
