The Front Office Supervisor role is a critical position within the Wild Dunes team, serving as a leader and mentor for front desk personnel while ensuring smooth daily operations at the front office. This full-time supervisory position involves managing daily tasks such as scheduling shifts, monitoring inventory, training new employees, and resolving guest concerns efficiently. The Supervisor leads by example, performing key front desk duties including greeting guests upon arrival, managing billing for packages and groups, preparing for daily arrivals and departures, and ensuring the front office operates in an organized and welcoming manner. This role requires the ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the needs of the resort’s guest flow.
The Supervisor plays a pivotal role in enhancing the guest check-in and check-out experiences, helping to exceed guest expectations consistently. Collaboration across departments at Wild Dunes Resort is vital, as this position supports various operational areas to uphold the high standards of service the resort is known for. Job Requirements
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions
- must be able to walk, climb into and out of, and operate a vehicle frequently
- must be able to repetitively lift, push, pull and carry up to 15 lbs, frequently up to 25 lbs, and occasionally up to 75 lbs
- must be able to perform repetitive hand and arm movements, pushing and pulling and simple grasping frequently
- squeezing, overhead reaching and fine manipulation occasionally
- must have a valid driver’s license
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in hotel front desk or supervisory roles
- strong customer service and communication skills
- ability to train and lead a team
- proficiency with front office software systems
- problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival
- ensure daily check lists are completed and signed off prior to submitting to the Front Office Manager
- organize and prepare the front desk for next day arrivals and departures
- ensure proper billing of all packages and groups
- train and supervise front desk personnel
- assist guests to ensure expectations are exceeded upon check-in and check-out
- work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
