As a Front Desk Supervisor, you will play a vital role in shaping our guests' first impression and overall experience during their stay. You will be the visible and approachable leader at the front desk, responsible for supervising and participating in the daily activities of the guest service staff. Your role demands a high level of interpersonal skills as you personally interact with guests to make them feel welcome and comfortable, contributing to a seamless and exceptional visit. Your responsibilities include managing staff schedules according to forecasted demands, ensuring smooth check-in and check-out processes, and maintaining thorough knowledge of hotel services and amenities. You will also be expected to provide concierge services, accurately manage guest requests, and maintain clear and effective communication with both guests and team members.

Job Requirements
- Open availability to work weekends and holidays
- Ability to communicate verbally and in written form
- Ability to work in other hotel areas to assist operations when needed
- Ability to maintain a favorable working relationship with associates
- Ability to operate computers and relevant software
- Ability to stand and be in motion for extended periods
- Ability to lift and/or carry 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, kneel, and remain active during the workday
- Perform duties efficiently according to company policies and procedures
- Maintain a professional image of the hotel at all times
- Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned by management
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a supervisory role in hospitality or customer service
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Advanced working knowledge of property management systems
- Knowledge of switchboard and telephone etiquette
- Ability to effectively interact with associates at all levels
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service
- Experience providing concierge services is a plus
Job Duties
- Be visible at the front desk
- Schedule associates in accordance with forecasted sales and adjust staffing as necessary
- Plan, assign, supervise and participate in the daily activities of the guest service staff
- Participate in the prompt and courteous check-in and checkout of guests
- Use guests’ names when communicating with them
- Provide gracious and efficient telephone service
- Demonstrate working knowledge of all services, facilities and programs of the hotel and effectively assist guests
- Respond to guests’ requests promptly, efficiently and courteously
- Communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Arrange fulfillment of guest services by working with housekeeping, maintenance and food and beverage
- Stay current with developments in the hotel by reviewing communication log book each shift and updating it
- Resolve conflicts and negotiate effectively
- Demonstrate teamwork by cooperating and communicating effectively with co-workers
- Provide concierge service with fluent knowledge of area, attractions, restaurants, special events and guest amenities
- Deliver requested items to guestrooms such as rollaway beds, cribs, pillows, towels and luggage
- Confirm all duties and reports on the shift checklist are completed accurately
- Ensure staff is trained in financial control procedures and follows them regularly
