Job Description
EyeCare Partners is a leading provider of eye care services, committed to delivering exceptional patient experiences through comprehensive ophthalmic care. With a network of dedicated professionals and state-of-the-art facilities, EyeCare Partners strives to combine clinical expertise with compassionate service to support patients’ eye health and vision needs. The company emphasizes a culture of professionalism, patient-centered care, and operational excellence, ensuring each patient feels valued and supported from the moment they enter the clinic until their visit concludes. As an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer, EyeCare Partners values diversity and inclusivity in its workforce and is dedicated to maintaining an environment where every team member can thrive and contribute meaningfully to the overall mission.
The role of Front Office Specialist at EyeCare Partners is designed to serve as the critical first point of contact for patients, setting the tone for what is defined as a world-class Total Patient Experience. This position requires an individual who can balance professionalism with a warm, welcoming demeanor, ensuring every patient interaction is positive and efficient. The Front Office Specialist will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks that support a seamless check-in and check-out process. This includes greeting patients promptly and courteously, providing exceptional customer service both in person and over the phone, and managing patient flow within the office to optimize operational efficiency.
This role is primarily office-based in a clinical setting, though it may involve travel to other locations as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities. The ideal candidate will practice urgency while being considerate of patients' and doctors' time and schedules. Accuracy and attention to detail are paramount, particularly in verifying insurance authorizations and managing payment collections. The Front Office Specialist will also be responsible for completing daily financial reconciliations and ensuring compliance with company policies and HIPAA regulations. Additionally, the specialist may be called upon to assist with general office duties and maintaining a clean, organized workspace under the direction of the manager.
EyeCare Partners seeks candidates who not only possess relevant administrative skills but also have a passion for fostering positive patient relationships. Previous experience in a medical or ophthalmic office environment is preferred, though candidates with a background in customer service will also be considered. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is essential to perform the role effectively. Physical requirements include the ability to perform activities such as frequent walking, standing, sitting, bending, and lifting items up to 25 pounds, making it important for candidates to be comfortable in a dynamic clinical workspace.
This role does not require any specific licenses or credentials, making it an accessible opportunity for those with a high school diploma or GED and a commitment to providing excellent patient service. EyeCare Partners provides a supportive work environment where team members can develop their careers while contributing to a respected and thriving healthcare provider.
