Job Description

Family Practice Associates (FPA) is a well-established family practice group founded in 1983 by Dr. Jeffrey Foxx. Located in Central Kentucky, FPA has grown into one of the largest primary care provider groups in the region, offering comprehensive family-centered care that spans from infancy to the later years of life. With a dedicated team of over 20 primary providers, including physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and a licensed professional clinical counselor, FPA is committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate healthcare to Central Kentucky families. The practice is supported by a professionally trained staff comprising certified medical assistants (CMA), receptionists, lab technicians, and other essential personnel who contribute to the award-winning service environment at FPA. Recognized as a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) by the National Commission on Quality Assurance, FPA emphasizes coordinated care that prioritizes patient needs and enhances healthcare outcomes. The group operates from two convenient locations in Hamburg and Brannon Crossing and extends its services online, ensuring greater accessibility and convenience for patients.

The Front Office Receptionist plays a critical role within FPA by managing the initial and concluding stages of each patient visit while providing excellent customer service. This position is the first point of contact for patients, requiring a professional and courteous demeanor to greet and assist patients effectively. The role involves verifying and updating patient information, registering new patients, and handling administrative tasks such as scanning and indexing documents. The receptionist is also responsible for managing appointment schedules, verifying insurance benefits, processing payments including copays and deductibles, and maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the front office. The position demands familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems like Allscripts, the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers, and a strong commitment to teamwork. Working hours span Monday through Friday with some variations, including closing shifts and Saturday rotations. This full-time role offers competitive pay alongside a comprehensive benefits package, making it an excellent opportunity for those interested in a stable and rewarding healthcare environment. Overall, the Front Office Receptionist at FPA is an integral part of the healthcare delivery process, directly influencing patient satisfaction and the smooth operation of the medical practice.
