The Front Desk Receptionist role at ENT Specialty Partners is a vital position responsible for welcoming and orienting patients as the first point of contact within the clinical setting. This role demands exceptional interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor to ensure every patient feels comfortable and valued from the moment they enter the practice. The receptionist manages essential administrative functions that support efficient clinic operations including patient check-in and check-out, appointment scheduling, handling multiple phone lines, processing payments, and maintaining accurate patient records. Additionally, the receptionist is charged with upholding a clean and organized reception area that promotes a safe and professional atmosphere. This position is suited to individuals who thrive in fast-paced, patient-focused environments and who are capable of managing numerous tasks simultaneously with attention to detail and courteous professionalism. Responsibilities also include assisting patients in distress and supporting overall office safety, highlighting the important role the receptionist plays in the patient experience and clinic workflow. Job Duties
- Greet and check in patients
- ensure timely patient flow
- manage multiple phone lines and scheduling systems
- receive referrals and contact patients for scheduling
- provide patients with visit information, estimated charges, and required documentation
- verify patient ID and insurance
- assist with forms and billing questions
- collect and record payments (copays, co-insurance, deductibles, and balances)
- schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments
- maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and demographics
- keep reception and waiting areas clean, organized, and sanitized
- assist patients in distress and monitor the waiting area for safety
- contribute to team efforts by performing additional tasks, as requested
- responsibilities may evolve, and additional duties may be assigned as needed
