Job Description
CenterWell Senior Primary Care is a dedicated healthcare provider specializing in senior-focused medical services. As part of CenterWell, a Humana company, it offers integrated and personalized care designed to meet the unique needs of older adults. CenterWell is known for its holistic approach, addressing not just the physical health of patients but also the emotional and social factors that impact overall well-being. With a care model that emphasizes extended patient interaction and multidisciplinary care teams including physicians, nurses, and behavioral health specialists, CenterWell delivers comprehensive wellness visits, chronic condition management, screenings, and minor injury treatments. Being part of Humana, a leading health and wellness company, CenterWell benefits from robust resources and healthcare expertise to provide accessible and high-quality services.
This position is based onsite at the West Augusta Clinic and involves employment in an outpatient clinical setting. The role reports directly to the Center Administrator and involves performing a mix of clinical and administrative duties as part of the frontline staff who interact directly with patients and visitors. This is a full-time role with scheduled weekly hours of 40 per week, offering a competitive salary range between $38,000 and $45,800 annually. The compensation is designed to reflect location, experience, and individual qualifications and also includes eligibility for a bonus incentive plan based on personal and company performance.
The primary responsibilities of this role revolve around managing patient and visitor interactions efficiently while supporting the clinic’s operational smoothness. The job includes operating telecommunications systems such as a switchboard, maintaining call logs, greeting visitors, issuing visitor passes, and directing individuals to the appropriate departments or staff members. Handling inquiries both internal and external about clinic hours, contact information, and services is also crucial. In addition, the role encompasses routine administrative tasks including booking meeting rooms, typing, organizing mail, and managing courier packages.
Because this position is patient-facing, it is included in the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. Candidates must undergo TB screening as a condition of employment. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of medical reception experience, familiarity with medical terminology, and demonstrate proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems. Preferred candidates may also have experience working within a value-based care model and be bilingual in English and Spanish, which enhances communication with a diverse patient base.
Humana offers an extensive benefits package aimed at supporting whole-person well-being. The benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance plans; a 401(k) retirement savings plan; paid time off including company and personal holidays; paid parental and caregiver leave; short-term and long-term disability coverage; life insurance; and additional incentives and programs that promote personal wellness and smart healthcare decisions. Working at CenterWell means becoming part of a caring community dedicated to improving the health outcomes and quality of life for seniors through compassionate, personalized care and a commitment to equity and diversity in employment.
