The Omni Providence Hotel is currently seeking an Overnight Supervisor to join their dedicated team. This role is pivotal to maintaining the smooth operation and excellence standards during overnight hours. The Overnight Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the completion of overnight shift checklists, collaborating closely with the hotel's Finance department to meet reporting deadlines, and facilitating associate training. Maintaining a positive and productive working environment for overnight associates is crucial to this role, along with consistent communication with department managers, ensuring any overnight events or opportunities for improvement are addressed promptly.
Key responsibilities for the position include overseeing guest complaint resolution to uphold the hotel's reputation for exceptional service and demonstrating proficiency with hotel computer systems for training, maintenance, and troubleshooting purposes. The supervisor will also be responsible for preparing the hotel for the upcoming day by assigning rooms to VIPs and managing special requests efficiently. Adherence to the company's systems and controls across front office operations and related areas is essential to performing successfully in this role.
This position demands a professional with excellent communication skills, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to multi-task and solve problems effectively during overnight shifts. Job Duties
- Ensure all overnight shift checklist items are completed in a timely manner
- work closely with the Finance department to ensure necessary requirements for rolling date and reporting are satisfied
- provide training as needed to associates
- maintain a positive working environment for all overnight associates
- communicate with all department managers consistently and report overnight occurrences and opportunities
- work with all overnight departments to ensure proper communication and resolution to opportunities
- handle all guest complaints maintaining a satisfactory impression with the guest on resolving any complaints
- be very familiar with all hotel computer systems for training maintenance and troubleshooting as needed
- set the house up for success
- block/assign applicable arrivals for the following day ie VIPs, ESPs, special requests, etc
- prepare all reports for the new day and distribute as needed
- adhere to all systems and controls of the front office and appropriate areas of responsibilities
