Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous medical office or receptionist experience preferred
  • excellent customer service and communication skills
  • basic computer proficiency
  • ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • greet and assist patients, visitors, physicians, and vendors in a courteous and professional manner
  • answer and direct incoming phone calls
  • check patients in and out for surgical procedures
  • verify and update patient demographic and insurance information
  • collect required forms, signatures, and payments when applicable
  • maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
  • notify clinical staff of patient arrivals and assist with patient flow
  • scan, upload, and file documents as needed
  • assist with organizing charts, paperwork, and daily schedules
  • maintain reception and waiting areas in a clean and orderly manner
  • assist with copying, faxing, emailing, and other clerical duties
  • receive and distribute mail and deliveries
  • help maintain office and front desk supplies
  • communicate professionally with patients, physicians' offices, vendors, and staff
  • relay messages accurately and promptly
  • assist with scheduling-related communication when needed
  • support management and clinical staff with administrative projects as assigned
