Known for its commitment to guest satisfaction and a welcoming environment, Courtyard by Marriott offers a blend of comfort, convenience, and excellent service to both business and leisure travelers. The hotel chain operates under the larger Marriott International umbrella, benefiting from strong brand standards, innovative guest service technologies, and a dedicated workforce focused on hospitality excellence. Employing a team-oriented approach, Courtyard by Marriott hotels emphasize a positive guest experience through a professional and approachable staff, well-maintained facilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement in service delivery.
The role of Front Office Manager at Courtyard by Marriott is a vital leadership position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Front Office department. This role involves managing guest check-in, check-out processes, reservations, room assignments, guest requests, and cashiering procedures. The Front Office Manager provides leadership, direction, and support to the Front Desk staff to ensure that all operations run smoothly and consistently uphold Marriott brand standards and hotel policies. This position requires active management during peak periods to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction, promptly addressing guest concerns and service recovery opportunities. The Front Office Manager also plays an essential role in staff training, coaching, and development to enhance performance and operational knowledge.
Collaborating closely with other hotel departments such as Housekeeping, Sales, and Engineering is critical to ensure seamless hotel operations and a positive guest experience. The manager monitors occupancy, VIP arrivals, group bookings, and special requests, ensuring accurate room status and billing procedures. Financial accountability is also a key aspect of this role, with responsibilities including handling cash, credit card transactions, and front office financial reports. The position requires a hands-on leader who leads by example, maintains a professional attitude, fosters a welcoming and supportive work environment, and actively works to improve operational efficiency and service quality.
This Front Office Manager role is perfect for an experienced hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about creating memorable guest experiences and developing a high-performing team. Candidates with prior hotel supervisory or management experience, especially within Marriott or similar branded hotels, will find this position an exciting opportunity to advance their career in the hospitality industry.
