The Front Office Manager role at Hilton Hawaiian Village offers a unique leadership opportunity within a large-scale, dynamic resort setting. This full-time position comes with a competitive salary range of $75,000 to $81,500 annually, alongside comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance from day one. In this highly visible leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing Front Office operations comprising Guest Service Agents and the Bell team. Your primary aim is to ensure that every guest enjoys a seamless and memorable experience throughout their arrival, stay, and departure.

You will play a vital role in shaping the guest experience through effective team leadership, training, and operational excellence. Managing a large team in a fast-paced environment, you will act as a Manager on Duty, confidently navigating through high-pressure situations, emergencies, and daily operational challenges across departments. Your role will require close collaboration with multiple teams including housekeeping to maintain impeccable guest room inspections, cleanliness, and safety standards.

In addition to daily operational management, you will be responsible for financial administration, performance evaluations, scheduling, and compliance with business and organizational policies, including knowledge of collective bargaining agreements. Communication skills will be essential in this role, including the ability to communicate effectively in English with Japanese language skills considered a plus. Your leadership will directly impact the quality of service, guest satisfaction, and overall success of the Front Office department.

Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent experience
  • More than 2 years of managerial experience in a hotel, preferably Front Office
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent experience
  • More than 2 years of managerial experience in a hotel, preferably in Front Office
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong leadership qualities and ability to energize and engage staff
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • BA/BS degree preferred
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Over 4 years of management or supervisory experience preferred
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred
  • Previous hotel/resort operations experience preferred
  • Knowledge of financial analysis and reporting preferred
  • Experience managing Collective Bargaining Agreement governed operations preferred
  • Fluency in Japanese language a plus

Job Duties

  • Lead Front Office operations including front desk, bell, and valet
  • Address work results, financial administration, and resource management
  • Complete team members' work schedules and performance evaluations on time
  • Coordinate communication with other departments to maintain room inventory and optimize revenues
  • Monitor guest survey scores, requests, and complaints, collaborating to resolve issues
  • Oversee department training and onboarding programs
  • Maintain relationships and compliance with business supporters and suppliers
  • Communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing
  • Meet deadlines for submissions to Directors and General Manager
  • Work with housekeeping to ensure cleanliness and safety in common areas and guest rooms
  • Participate in guest room inspections
  • Perform other related activities as requested
