The Front Office Manager at Sonesta International Hotels plays a critical leadership role, setting the tone for the company’s Culture of Caring. This position requires a proactive, guest-focused leader dedicated to creating amazing moments for guests and supporting the Front Office team to achieve success. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two years experience as Front Desk Manager
- Supervisory experience in hospitality required
- Flexibility to work variable days including weekends and holidays
- Ability to work variable shifts including days, nights, and overnights
- Capability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Experience preferred in hotel or hospitality environment
- Understanding of union environments a plus

Job Duties
- Manage day-to-day operations to ensure quality and standards are meeting expectations of guests and employees including check in/check out processes
- Promote teamwork and coordinate daily communication with other departments including housekeeping and maintenance
- Personally ensure VIP guests receive a superb experience including room inspections and greeting upon arrival
- Review resumes for arriving groups and coordinate master accounts and special requests
- Maintain inventory of supplies and operating equipment including ordering and receiving
- Ensure adherence to Sonesta safety and sanitation standards
- Respond to guest complaints and ensure proper follow-up
- Serve as Manager on Duty and respond to emergency situations
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- Prepare weekly work schedules and adjust as needed
- Analyze guest satisfaction data and implement improvement plans
- Coordinate projects involving floor condensing and room inventory changes
- Achieve budgeted revenues and control labor costs
- Manage staffing levels to meet service, operational, and financial goals
- Maintain security procedures for financial transactions and guest security
- Participate in budget and forecasting processes
