The Front Office Manager at AC Hotel Chicago Downtown is a critical leadership role, responsible for overseeing all front office operations including the front desk, concierge, valet, and bell stand. This position requires a passionate and energetic individual focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences through gracious service and impeccable style. The manager will direct and motivate staff across multiple departments, ensuring standards of excellence are upheld while fostering a cooperative and positive work environment. Key responsibilities include handling guest needs proactively, resolving concerns with professionalism, and managing scheduling, staffing, and performance to optimize service and productivity. The role also involves training and mentoring team members, managing reservations, VIP check-ins, group arrivals, billing, and ensuring guest room security. Coordination with other departments such as housekeeping and engineering is essential to ensure seamless and personalized service for all guests. Administrative tasks such as documentation, reporting, and interdepartmental communication are also part of the daily functions.

This is a full-time position with an estimated salary range of $60,000 to $70,000. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of two years’ experience in a similar leadership role in a hotel or resort environment, demonstrating strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency with hospitality systems like Fosse, Opera, POS systems, and Microsoft Office is required. The role demands the ability to multitask, make quick and effective decisions, and maintain professionalism under pressure, including flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Oversee, direct and motivate staff across multiple departments, ensuring exceptional guest experiences
  • Supervise and support daily operations of the front desk, concierge, valet, and bell stand
  • Anticipate guest needs, resolve concerns, and maintain positive guest relations at all times
  • Train, coach, and mentor associates, providing feedback and ensuring adherence to hotel standards
  • Manage scheduling, staffing, and performance monitoring to optimize service and productivity
  • Ensure accurate handling of reservations, group arrivals, VIP check-ins, billing, and guest room security
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, engineering, and other departments to ensure seamless service
